The camp is well placed for trails to hike in a TrailRider, a lake for adpative paddling, with fishing on the accessible pier. Agur Lake Camp is a barrier-free environment, located in the mountains west of Summerland, BC. Accommodation is in fully-accessible cabins, equipped with adjustable beds and lifts; bathrooms feature roll-in showers, roll-under sinks and grab bars. There are fully-equipped kitchens. The camp also includes seven RV camp sites, and space to pitch a tent should you want to bring a group of friends.
Our weekends of accessible outdoor recreation are open to:
Each weekend visit will feature two nights of accommodation – Friday and Saturday – and begin with an orientation session, when you will meet fellow campers and learn about the recreational options open to you.
Picnic lunches and evening meals will be included, with a Saturday night barbecue.
Agur Lake Camp is located in a remote, peaceful location – being in nature is highly valuable to quality of life and challenges perceptions of our capabilities. With the accessible facilities, BCMOS equipment (TrailRiders, kayaks and paddleboards) and volunteers, you will get the most out of the opportunity.
Space is limited to 10 people per weekend. Interested participants can register between Tuesday, April 3 and Tuesday, May 15. Call us for information, and to see if this would be the right experience for you:
